Hello Anibal....nice to hear from you. I met you in the grass finishing course held in Dallas about six weeks ago. From discussions last summer with a more experienced grass finisher - I knew Balage needed to be in my program this winter. I figured half alfalfa dry bales ( dairy quality ) and half balage ( again dairy quality & 45% ave moisture ). Knowing what I know now - I will use about 65% balage and 35% dairy quality dry hay next winter....or something pretty close to this. I'm still pleased with our gains considering the deep freeze we had as well as two significant blizzards. We're weighing again this next weekend, so we'll update our numbers. Regards, Vic
