I also have an Atchison Grass Farmer 7' drill. If I did my math right, 72 revolutions of the drive wheel = 1/100 acre. I have the old model without coulters. It works best when no-till planting, graze very close then plant. If there is much trash, it balls up bad. If you mow, I think a flail mower would work best. My rotary mower causes it to ball up. Irrigate after planting if available, then spray with glyphosate (Round-up) before plant starts to emerge. Hope that helps, Keith
