Brix levels of forages are good indicators od finishing potential of such forages. Using the technique for adjusting soil nutrition has little research done. I prefer to look at soil samples. Most likely, well balanced soils are going to yield better forages and more balanced too. We do not use the combination and anforturnately I do not have more experience on that. I think refractometry in plant material and soil nutrition asociations need more research done.
