Irrigation with lagoon water is a good resouce for fertilizing the soil. However, salt content is a big issue. Remember that grass production uses much less water than grain cropping. You could irrigate with lagoon water, but will have to be able to wash the soil with other water source most likely once or twice a year. I would look for input on the issue with local irrigation and soil expertise before discarding the opportunity of using the lagoon water. More so if soils are sandy.
