What are the "preferred" conserved forages used in these cold regions to keep ADG of 1.8lbs? I would be interested in what low cost conserved forage combinations/supplementations are being used when grazing ceases. I'm also going under the assumption ranchers are producing a 'Gourmet" product and not using controlled starvation in the winter and depending on compensatory gains in the spring.
