I have also been interested in Herefords. Two of the main reasons being the sheer number of them that are available to sort through for beneficial grassfed traits and that they are red and white for our Texas summers. And of course that they are an early maturing British breed with a history of use as strictly beef cattle. However, they have not performed as well as Shorthorn and Angus in GenSTAR DNA testing. How much stock do you put into GenSTAR testing?
