I would like to put in some kind of irrigation system and I am looking at the K-line System. I was just wanting to get some feed back from people that have had first hand experience with this system so when talking to the salesmen I would be properly informed. Thanks

Feeding pelleted alfalfa should always give us better results than alfalfa hay. Pelleted alfalfa is of greater quality almost always and the processing increases break down in the rumen and passage rate, which in turn increases intake. On low-quality forages the complementary nitrogen that such alfalfa will provide improves the digestion of the pasture. It has to work well and elicit good gains. We need, however, to understand that the pasture is the main feed and the supplement is just there for an extra push and to complement the pasture, not to produce the gain by itself. I would also encourage the thinking of ways/strategies to increase/retain the maximum quality as possible in the deferred pasture.
